The world would resemble Trona Californiaif pollution and global warming becomes worse. Similar to modern society the people of Trona rely on gas stations to power their society.
Ray's neighbor is depicted as being lazy and always sitting on his lawn chair, yet he wants to help ray with his problems. Similarly, modern society wants to help stop global warming but rarely do people take serious action to combat against it. In regards to global warming, most of the western world wants to help, yet does nothing.

i agree, i touch on a similar subject and understand especially what you say about the western hemisphere more importantly America. we have resources other countries dont have. For example Mexico city is a heavy polluted city but its also very poor and illustrate low living standards, i can understand if they're polluted they cant help it. other cities in south america like Buenos Aires have taxis powered by pressurized air. its a small move but at least its something.
ReplyDeleteMatt your idea of Dent almost representing America and the way the rest of the world cares about global warming is perfect. Even as he reminisces about the days where he actually did things that didn't involve drinking and sitting in the sun all day, often our government and big businesses will mention that one thing that they have done in the past to help the climate problem. One thing isn't going to cut it, if we want change we need to keep changing, just like Ray picks up garage everyday. He doesn't skip a day because he might have picked up garbage all last week. If you want change then you have to keep making change.
